Our 6 leagues in District 8 have house league programs that play a regular season format aiming for 12 games a season. Because we have some smaller leagues in the district and to encourage a variety of different teams to play, our District has developed an interlock program between the leagues where the house league programs play each other.
In the South Ottawa Valley interlock (South D8) Mississippi, Perth and Lanark minors, majors and juniors play each other. Seniors from this area interlock with Districts 2,6 and 7 in Ottawa for spring and summer seasons.
In the Upper Ottawa Valley interlock (North D8) Renfrew, UOVLL and Madawaska minors, majors, Juniors and Seniors play each other.
Upper Ottawa Valley is the only league in the district currently running a girls' softball program and there is no interlock.
